Kunzite

Kunzite

Kunzite is named after George Frederick Kunz, a mineralogist who was the chief jeweler at Tiffany's.  It was discoverd in 1902.

In the same way that Amethyst can fade in the sun, so can Kunzite, so it is best to keep it off of yoru windowsill.  Its pinkish-lavender color is due to the trace amounts of Manganese.
