Apache Jasper

Apache Jasper is also known as Mimbres Valley Desert Picture Jasper.   Mimbres Valley is in New Mexico.

Meaning and Properties:

Apache Jasper, carved in a shield shape, and highly polished.  The pendant is 2-1/8" long by 1-3/4" wide.  Apache Jasper often depicts an image that looks like the area it was mined from: desert with brush.  The bush looking images are dendrite growths.  A Native American tribe, the Mimbres, lived in the area where this jasper is mined.  The tribe disappeared about a thousand years ago.  It is presumed they merged with the Apaches.

Great crystal to wear for a natural evolution into greater strength, fertility, ambition, resiliance, originality, and courage.
