Natural, untreated, African Green Brecciated Jasper beads.
Jasper is not a mineral per se, but rather a mixture of quartz with other minerals. Each type of Jasper gets its name from its particular pattern. Jasper often fills in the cracks in the Earth created by earthquakes. Sometimes an area has movement over a long period of time and the jasper-filled cracks crack open again and again, shattering the already-formed jasper to create new formations of jasper that have a broken look to them. This is Brecciated Jasper.
